Hello,
First post for me. It's possible the answer is somewhere here, but I can't find anything. I hope someone handy can guide me.
The garage is going to be converted into a storage room (and living space beyond the storage room), and the old worn-out door will be removed and the opening will be closed. There's already a door on the side.
I know it should be framed with cc60, wind barrier, nail battens, paneling, and then on the inside: insulation, vapor barrier, MDF, and drywall. I just don't understand what to make the frame structure from so that the "sill" won't be directly against a damp concrete floor? Is it enough to place tar paper between the floor and the wood frame or should a metal frame be used and then a wood frame inside the metal frame? How do I attach a frame to the concrete floor? Special screws, or is it possible to just glue it? I want to build properly but not overcomplicated. Should the frame be nailed at the top and sides, or is it just as good to screw it in? I think it might be a matter of preference.
Any general tips on how I should proceed? Any specific steps I should do first?
Grateful for good advice, but if someone thinks I might need to hire a carpenter, unfortunately, I don't have the funds for that in these times.

A tip is to check out @enkort_enlang's post from April 13th on Instagram. There's a short video there that shows many of the steps you want to do.

Yes, exactly like that! Thanks - now I understand that a frame isn't needed since it's already there except for the bottom itself. I see that he first places something under the wooden beam - I can ask about that at a lumberyard.
Funny how it always seems so simple and obvious once you have the answer
