We live in a typical 1970s villa. Currently, there's a boring and quite worn-out hedge at the front. We are in the process of refreshing the front and are considering getting rid of the hedge and instead getting a wall.
Due to neighbors and building regulations, we want to integrate a wall with a hedge. That is, build a wall out of lecablock, make it hollow, fill it with soil, and plant shrubs there. This is to achieve a privacy screen of 90 cm with the wall + about 60-90 cm more with the planted shrubs.
My question is: Is there a term for such walls? Do you have any experience with it or know someone who has done it? Can it be done with lecablock?
I've searched online for references and tips but haven't had much success, so I'm hoping someone here can provide some knowledge.
