I want to build a brick partition wall in the living room. It should be about 1 meter high, 1.5 meters long, and preferably about 25 cm wide. It should extend straight out into the room from the middle of the long wall.

There is parquet flooring and I live on the ground floor of the house.

How do I do it?
Is it possible?
Do I need to secure the wall/fence to the floor to avoid the risk of it falling, or is it enough to secure it to the wall?

If you have a concrete slab under the parquet, it is possible if you cut it away. You can forget about just placing it on the parquet.
