Brain freeze! Mounted the drywall backwards!
Put drywall in a smaller bedroom on Saturday and now realized to my horror(?) that I installed all the drywall sheets backwards, with the "cardboard" facing out! :-[
The plan is to wallpaper the room. One wall faces a side wind.
Do I need to turn all the sheets or can I leave them as they are and proceed as usual??

Since the boards are chamfered on the long sides (on the front), and there's a seam in the cardboard on the back, you'll have quite a few problems applying tape and plastering the seams.....
Sure, you could microlite the whole room, but that feels like an expensive solution. Otherwise, you could stand and chamfer all the long sides, but since there are a lot of screws, it will be an enormously tedious job....
No, if it were my house, I would redo it, do it right.
Edit:
Once you've got some distance from the mistake, you can contribute to the following thread:

As some consolation, I can mention that I tore down an entire bathroom wall that was already screwed in. We realized that the WC connection ended up completely wrong. The floor couldn't be removed without a complete demolition of the wall since the floor was screwed into the joist that the wall was then standing on....
I've also made a lot of other mistakes, so yours doesn't feel too big.
At least you haven't started plastering... or have you?

And why haven't we read about this in the bloopers thread?Fasting65 said:As a consolation, I can mention that I tore down an entire bathroom wall that was fully screwed in. I will soon contribute to the thread myself - managed to nail the patio door with a nail through both the frame and the door leaf the other day.... :
