Renovating a room and encountered a small problem with black mold spots on the wooden ceiling. Used timber (spruce) from my own forest, sawed at my own sawmill, and planed at my own...... However, there was a scheduling issue. Due to cancer treatment, I couldn't harvest the forest until August, and the timber was planed semi-moist. Then it was put up directly for drying on site. Now, in the middle of winter, the timber is completely bone dry. Everything worked fine except for some black spots appearing. How do I treat these before painting with Rusta's cheapest ceiling paint (which gives a surface very similar to old-fashioned glue paint)?
Guggen!
"Rustas billigaste" seems to consist of some cheap emulsion and (likely) chalk. A little extra thickening agent (perhaps wallpaper paste) and a large proportion of water.
"Old-fashioned glue paint" normally consists of wallpaper paste, chalk, and water in "adequate amounts."
