I'm in the process of tearing down an old toilet in my house from '48 and encountered Eternit pipes that I carefully had removed entirely, wrapped in plastic, and took to the recycling center with. I read up (and got incredibly worried) about asbestos due to this.
Now, as I continue tearing down, I see that the toilet's wallpaper is holding a plasterboard that sits on top of a wallpapered masonite board glued to the concrete behind with a brown adhesive.
Could this be black glue or is black glue completely black?
What I've heard is that you can't just assume it's black asbestos; it could be present anyway.
The only reliable way is to take a sample and send it for analysis, which costs around 500 SEK, and then you'll find out if it contains asbestos or not.
