Has anyone recently tried to get hold of better birch plywood, B/BB or BB/BB? I assume it's the same when they mention Baltic birch plywood? I've heard that a major supplier Ceos has had difficulty getting plywood due to the ongoing situation in the world.

If it has indeed become difficult and therefore expensive, is there a good substitute, how does it look with other wood types in plywood format? It is intended for interiors such as kitchens and wardrobes.

Check if it's easier to get hold of veneered MDF instead.

Unnamed plywood of grade B or BB is usually common softwood ply. Birch plywood is probably called birch plywood because the dealers know they can squeeze out a couple of extra bucks that way.

Oh, are you sure it's pine, maybe mixed? I've considered veneered, but I've only seen it with very thin veneer, 0.6, and I think that at least the kitchen cabinets will take quite a beating inside with pots and pans being moved in and out :) Also, I don't like MDF anymore, I've cut enough of it. What do you think about laminated wood, in thinner dimensions, is there a risk that it's only available for a reasonable price in pine, which might be too soft?
