Is there any type of leveling compound or self-leveling screed that becomes completely even and can be cast in a 5-70 mm thick layer?
It needs to be poured on an uneven basement floor and should not require any additional treatment beyond mixing and pouring it on!
In other words, I just want to be able to pour it on the floor so it adjusts itself without needing to help the compound spread out.

I read this on another site. If it's true, someone more knowledgeable is welcome to respond!
I also want to know since I am planning to renovate the basement soon.

If you're going to use self-leveling screed on a basement floor, you should be a bit careful. The floor should not be primed as primer does not withstand moisture. Many self-leveling screeds also do not withstand moisture and should not be used in basements. The self-leveling screeds that do withstand moisture are very expensive, but they do exist. Ardex is a supplier that can offer this through their resellers.

Is there any justification in the above statement? I will soon be self-leveling the floor in our future bathroom (uninsulated basement)

Stranden72: Mja, you are not entirely correct. Many primers work in basements nowadays. It's the constant additional moisture that some primers can't handle. This has been discussed several times:

There are many self-leveling compounds that can withstand moisture loads. There's absolutely no need to run to Ardex and buy their super, super expensive products.
