Best before date on tile adhesive..

Got hold of tiles and adhesive at a great price (unopened), but the best before date is sometime this winter... however, I don't want to start then. Should I follow this exactly or is it just for???

I previously contacted Ardex with a similar question. I was then informed that the product works perfectly well even after the expiration date. The only requirement was that the product had been stored correctly. The date labeling was due to the product containing chromium, and an additive to prevent allergies worked better before the expiration date. This applied to Ardex, but should be the same for other manufacturers.

Tiled up a square when I replaced the kitchen fan. Used old fix and old grout from bags that have been opened for 7-8 years. They've been kept dry and worked perfectly fine.
