Last autumn, a considerable amount of materials for the bathroom renovation in the cottage were purchased, including 250 kg of flooring compound. I lived in some sort of naive state, believing I would get much further than I actually did. When we closed the cottage for the winter, I noticed that the storage time is six months in dry conditions. It's certainly dry, but since I bought the material in September, I would need to pour it before March. That is, if the bags hadn't been sitting at the builder's supply store for several months first, as there was no date stamp.
But what happens after half a year? I found no information on the bag (Maxit 4320). Yesterday, out of curiosity, I checked what was stated on the floor leveling compound from Akzo Nobel at a builder's supply store. There, too, it mentioned the six months, but said it was the chromium content that could be guaranteed during this time and that beyond this, there was an increased risk of chrome eczema.
Is this the "only" thing that happens? Do the properties concerning processing and strength change otherwise, or can I safely use my compound before the summer? Provided that one is a bit extra cautious with clothing and filters.
