How do you smoothly bend a 15 mm planed list so that it follows a contour-sawed shape in gentle curves?
I assume that it must be soaked in water for a while, but for how long and what temperature should the water be for it to become easily formable?
What technique should be used for the actual bending process so that it doesn't break?

One must "basa" it. This means it should be placed in a tube, (which can be nailed together from some planks), through which steam from boiling water is led. I recall the rule of thumb says one hour per inch of material thickness. Remove the strip and mount or shape it directly. It becomes very soft and easy to shape. Thick gloves must be used to avoid burns.

That sounds really exciting! :P
I have to try it. I'm just wondering how to get so much steam. I guess I'll have to make a fire. ::)
