I am quite a novice at building, but I find it very fun and would like to try it myself (with the help of my dad). We have just started building a shed adjacent to our 60s house. That is, a wall shed. Since I would like it to stand out a bit architecturally, I've got the idea that I want a panel resembling these. Attaching images. But now to the question, how do I do it in terms of construction? Is there any kind soul who could explain or give tips and maybe even simply sketch out how this could be done and what materials I should use? The shed is to be insulated and painted with black slamfärg for the facade is the plan. Thank you so much in advance!

  • Modern wooden extension with vertical slatted paneling and a black door, designed using afromosia wood.
  • Black vertical wooden panels on an exterior wall, with a modern design.
  • Vertical wood siding detail above a modern door with a visible door hinge, showcasing an architectural panel design.
  • Vertical wooden paneling next to a window on an exterior wall.
And what does the "60s house look like?

Normally, efforts are made to make new buildings blend into the old environment, but here you intend the opposite. Why?

Reverse board and batten isn't really any hocus pocus, narrow board first and wide as a cover. The one in the pictures has something weatherproof behind the boards. Keep in mind that it gets trickier to paint narrow openings.

A storage built against an existing exterior wall☺️

Normally, you try to ensure new buildings blend into the old environment, but here you're thinking the opposite. Why?
I might have expressed myself a bit poorly. I want it to match our house but modernize it a little, I don't want to put up the usual paneling. We are thinking of soon replacing the paneling on the house and possibly to something like this
Modern house with dark wood paneling, large windows, and a patio featuring a lounge chair, plants, and flowers.

Do you get a building permit for that then?

I believe so, as there are several in the area who have gotten it.

How did you do it @Sara Frost? Have you gotten it like in the pictures? I'm keen to have them narrow first and then vary the curl width in maybe three or four different ways and vary it in a pattern...

But what's wrong with you... why can't you stick to her question without pretentiously starting an interrogation?

Hello and welcome to Byggahus @Vrångekärr
OT:
Not sure if you did today's thread lift (the penultimate post was made 5 years ago), but if you don't come with more interesting posts in the future, feel free to wait another 6 years before writing the next one..

To TS @Sara Frost
How did the construction go, can we see some pictures and know how it turned out?
