No problem, however, it usually doesn't become straight because of the wall's "natural" unevenness - metal studs are completely straight 
c/c 60 for a normal wall, like c/c 40 if you plan to hang heavy items on the wall. c/c depends a little on the width of gypsum and/or plyfa/OSB...
