Hello, our basement is a plain concrete variant right now, painted on the walls and floor. Ugly as sin... We want to lay tiles and put up tiles in the laundry room where there is also a floor drain. What applies in a basement like this with moisture barriers and so on? My friend said that no moisture barrier is needed, that it's just to lay tiles directly on the concrete. Is that correct? The house is drained (but not insulated) with a Platon membrane.

Grateful for an answer.

Yes, that's correct. Possibly, one could have sealed around the well if water will be flushed there.
