Our new staircase is coming next week, the problem is that the carpenters who were here said we should install the beadboard on the walls before the staircase arrives, but now we realize that must be wrong
because there will be a gap of a few millimeters between the staircase and the walls. How do we hide it? Does it look odd to have a baseboard along the staircase, should we use a small quarter round? Of course, I want it to look nice now that I'm spending thousands of kronor on a new staircase...
If they want to install the pärlspont first, have they accounted for the staircase's dimensions being adjusted for this?
Any gaps can be concealed with a 6x32 mm list. It is quite flexible and can therefore be easily bent along the vangstyckena.

We installed the tongue and groove paneling ourselves, not sure what the carpenters were thinking but the measurements are correct, we ordered the staircase ourselves from a master carpenter. The staircase is completely straight, so it won't be difficult to add trim, it's mostly the design I'm pondering. Taking down the tongue and groove paneling is not an option considering how much work it was to put up the twisted, crooked 4-meter panel.
