We have just installed an attic ladder and are going to cover around it with trim. We have covered the ladder with paneling to match the ceiling. But what do we do at the back edge? When the hatch is lowered, the paneling will hit the trim if we put it up. I can't find anything about this anywhere; maybe it's just us who have experienced this problem?
 
A discreet piece of fabric can be a solution.
 
Yes, perhaps. When I look at pictures, I don't see this problem anywhere. Have we possibly been thinking wrong from the start?
 
No, I think it looks like that everywhere.

Do you have a picture to show where it looks okay without any action?

You say "foder". What do you mean by that? Normally, one would put a narrow strip, like a trim strip (8x21 or something similar), if anything at all.
