Hello!
In our attic, adjacent to the air gap, there is a dark brown paint applied. Does anyone know what this paint is? It is consistently painted next to the air gap in all areas of the attic.

  • Dark brown paint on attic boards near air gap, surrounded by insulation material.
Could it be some type of insulation base or primer?

Yes, they almost look like some stain/glaze?

  • Close-up of wooden surface with visible grain, showing possible stain or glaze application, with torn paper and insulation material nearby.
It is probably the most common plastic for moisture exposure, so maybe there is some protective/reinforcing layer that has been brushed on.

Maybe I should use that on the spot where our attic has a bit of moisture =)
