Hello.
I need your help with the garage I will be building soon.
My question is, which is better, masonry or building with timber studs?
It will be a garage that is 4m x 6.25m.
I want to utilize the slab as much as possible so that I get more space inside the garage.
If I build with Leca, 15cm is the minimum width, or am I wrong?
If I build with timber studs, maybe I can build with 95mm studs? Is that too little insulation then?
What insulates better, timber studs with insulation or Leca without insulation with just plaster?
I was thinking of having an open ceiling without traditional roof trusses, using glulam beams instead so that I have height space if I ever want to lift the car, and it will look bigger. I hardly think I will use the attic space anyway if I were to have it.
The building permit is about to expire soon, so I need to get started now before summer.
The slab is ready.
Grateful for the help.
