I have plans to get a loft bed solution, but the layout of the bedroom means that the bed, 120cm wide, must be in the middle of the long wall, otherwise it will hit the door or end up in front of the window. I googled a bit and saw a guy who builds loft beds and other things and showed different solutions, including beds that were only attached to the ceiling and wall, so you don't have the bed legs in the wrong place. Like this http://www.compact-living.com/loftsangar/367/attachment/loftsang1 I read on a page that a screw in concrete should handle 70kg, but that must be in the wall and hanging straight down? So now I'm wondering, how does it look for ceilings? I have concrete in both the ceiling and the right wall. However, I don't know how thick the wall is, I share it with the neighbor, so it's not an exterior wall. I guess the house is from the 60s and it's a rental property, public housing. Best regards, Philip

With an expansion bolt in the appropriate size, you can carry several hundred kilos per fastening.

Oh, that bodes well for a loft bed. Thanks for the tip. Maybe go for a hammock and palm trees instead.
