I am about to renovate the basement and make new interior walls and I'm wondering how I should proceed. Should I rent a nail gun to fasten things to the floor, or should I drill and insert plugs? Takes a bit longer! (I have plenty of time!) Which would you choose? And what size screw and plug would you use?

Assuming you are mounting in concrete!?
You can use screws that are 30-40 mm long with matching plugs at a maximum distance of 50 cm from each other.
Tip: drive a coarse nail through the tracks where you're going to place the screw and plug before you install them...
