Attaching steel post/post base to concrete block
We are working on a roof lift and have steel posts embedded in the walls that relieve the upper floor. The posts (70 x 70 mm) stand on feet (200 x 80 mm) on concrete hollow blocks - see picture of post foot.
How does one best anchor the post feet into the concrete hollow block? The installer has mentioned expansion bolts. I wonder if it's even possible as there are cavities in the stone that might make it difficult for the bolt to grip evenly. Isn't there also a risk, precisely because it can't grip evenly, that one might even crack the "partitions" in the concrete hollow block?
Chemical anchors are perhaps an alternative. However, is there a risk that the anchor mass just gets pushed down into the darkness, so to speak? Do you need to seal it in a smart way?
Other methods!? Very grateful for suggestions. Please feel free to mention if you have any practical experience with similar attachments.
