Construction of roof framework on a simple garage/carport.
Planning a simple extension with a sloped roof. The roof has a slope of 10cm in height over 1 meter.
The ceiling height is an issue. Need a beam with posts in the middle, and under the beam, the ceiling height becomes too low.
Is it feasible to consider a construction with joist hangers on the beam that aligns the beams and the beam itself at the same height, or is this entirely inadvisable?
The sections have a span of 3.5m per section. Planning to use a beam of 90x170 and beams 45x145mm on a 60cm center. I haven't decided on the post spacing yet...
