Two metal pivot hinges for cabinet doors.

Hi,

I am going to attach a couple of pin hinges to a closet door.

Has anyone done this before? Do you pre-drill with a slightly smaller drill first?

I've reassembled a bunch of those this year, they keep coming loose in my '70s kitchen.. :)
Just drill with what I think is a 5mm drill bit (just compare which bit has the right size) and then screw them in.

haven't considered a bit of glue in the holes?

What do you think about drilling with a slightly smaller drill. Then put some PL400 in the hole?

Now that you mention it, only four have been replaced because they came loose. I tried using glue on two of them before making new holes. The rest have broken off, there's some wear and tear on them after thirty years. :)
