Hello

We are going to put up a partition wall in our unheated garage. The floor is asphalt. What is the best way to attach the floor sill to the asphalt?

If we later want to add some heating to one of the spaces, how do we deal with the floor, considering that it is currently just asphalt?

it is enough to fasten with, for example, spikplugg.

one should insulate with something of some kind. on a job, we laid EPs cement and then parquet, and it works well. Eps is foam plastic granules mixed with cement.

or a layer of isodrän boards. It is at least as good in terms of insulation and you avoid the mess. Regarding the basic question, I would lay a strip of sill insulation and then secure the sill with, for example, nail plugs.

always sylpapp between wood and stone, asphalt, concrete etc.

Thank you for the responses.
