Hello,
A beginner's question:
We have a single-story extension from 2020 with a wooden frame that meets the industry standards of the year. When shelves or a TV need to be mounted on the wall, no special plugs or expanders are required due to an extra load-bearing board in the wall. Now I wonder if something similar can be expected to be present in the ceiling? My daughter wants a hanging chair that attaches with a hook in the ceiling, and I'm wondering if a strong hook without a plug is sufficient?

In the ceiling, you should only have sparse, to secure it properly you should find a roof truss. Alternatively, open up and reinforce where you now want the hanging chair.

Have installed a couple of swings in the ceiling at various workplaces for adults. (Korttids LSS)
We have used through-fittings attached in the attic with a longer crossbeam up there.
