Hello,

I have started a wall that meets a knäcksten wall. Therefore, I need tips on the best way to attach a fence post to a knäcksten wall. 70x70 post, about 1.2 meters between posts. The wall is 4 stones high, about 30cm, glued.

Is it to drill into the wall and attach a post shoe with chemical anchors?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the principle sounds like a good idea. I would probably drill a bit larger, about 25 mm all the way to the bottom turn, and place a reinforcement bar next to the plinth shoe that goes almost all the way up and fill it with expanding concrete.//

Or dig next to the wall and attach a long iron with the same interface as the concrete posts, since attaching something to the wall seems like a pretty bad idea. Alternatively, get a really heavy thick small plate to set the interface so that it stands "loose" and can't affect the wall more than the force downwards, and then brace the post properly.
