If I am going to attach a 70x70 fence post to a ground screw (available at Jula), the fastening will be 15 mm from the edge. Is it too weak to fasten so close to the edge? It feels like the post might crack more easily if something heavy leans against it.

And maybe it's not good to drill new holes in the bracket because then you destroy the galvanization

Considering whether I should choose 95x95 posts instead.

Screw diagonally, and it will hold.

What kind of screw are you going to use? If you have a self-drilling screw or if you pre-drill with the appropriate dimension, you shouldn't get cracks that cause problems. Then, screw from both directions diagonally placed, and it should work. Larger screws with big heads rarely look good if you angle-screw.

A thicker screw with a large head rarely looks good if you screw at an angle.
Maybe go with big dog screw.

I mounted 70x70 posts with Jula's ground screws. I used a through bolt in the center hole and regular steel screws in the other four holes. It sits like a rock... However, the posts are about 1.10.
