We are thinking about installing curtain tracks in the ceiling. It's probably not a problem to get the track to sit well on the ceiling panel since the panel is quite thick, and it's just a matter of choosing the right fastening, so it should hold well.
However, my question is whether the panel can support the weight.
The house is newly built, and I guess they have installed the panel with finishing nails or staples. I think curtains can weigh quite a bit, and of course, I don't want the panel to come loose... what do you think?
There is no possibility to attach the track to the battens above the ceiling panel in this case. The battens run along the window, and the first batten is too close to the wall.

As mentioned, fastening in the ceiling panel is no problem, molly or similar works brilliantly. I'm not sure if the ceiling molding provides much support, it's attached with brads in the wall and isn't sealed against the ceiling.putte22 said:
I'm wondering if you can attach the track to the furring strips along the wall, which extend 70mm. However, I want the track to be further out than 70mm, but maybe it can be anchored to the upper furring strips in a smart way.
