Attach corner molding after painting.
Hi, I need to buy corner trim pieces tomorrow. The kids are destroying the edges with their toys... just reinforced the edges with cardboard.
Now to my question. Should I buy corner protectors in pine or PVC plastic? Maybe there are many different variants? It would be really convenient to be able to glue them on. Regards

It is perfectly fine to glue them, choose a glue like Sika MaxTack that grips relatively quickly.
Warning about Pattex NoNails, it sticks poorly.
However, Sika's MaxTack and a variant that Bostik had have worked well for me.
I would choose wood, but it's mostly a matter of taste. The glue possibly adheres worse to plastic as well.

I think I will choose pine. But should I put a thin strip in the middle of the entire strip? I prefer not to have glue oozing out of the strip
..
After I glue it, should I hold it in place or lean something against the strip until it sets? Or maybe just a dab of glue every other decimeter is enough?
Can I get the glue at Bauhaus?

You can place a bead in the middle. It's probably enough to dab a little as well, but a bead is easy to apply and then you know you'll get a grip even if it's a bit uneven.
Yes, I think you'll find Bostik's adhesive there, but not Sika.
Maxi Bond Extreme was Bostik's variant I used, I bought it at Bauhaus.
If you press and hold the trim in place for a little while, it will probably stay.

Don't think it's worth specifically looking for Sika, Bostik works just as well. However, I just saw that Bostik's seemed very expensive, 140:- at Bauhaus, and I think I paid around 70 for Sika's at Hornbach for a 300ml tube.
On the other hand, I think Bostik's is available in a smaller tube at Bauhaus. But if there are a bunch of moldings to be glued, you'll need it. Overall, it's worth the money, the job becomes much easier and quicker
Sika's glue was very easy to work with, so I would choose it over Bostik again next time. I'm uncertain which one bonds best, it was a while since I used Bostik.
There are certainly similar adhesives from other brands, but these are the ones I have experience with that actually work.
