I will add insulation to our outer walls of our summer house this fall. I will frame with 45x45 studs and install insulation at 60 cm centers. Then I will put Asfaboard over it. So my question is if I can leave it like that until spring and then put up the paneling?

Why should you use asfaboard? Does it even exist for purchase anymore? Use Gyproc GHSE (yellow) outdoor plasterboard instead, then it can stand for at least 6 months.

What I'm looking for is to avoid putting up paneling this fall/winter. I won't have time for it. And it's a cost issue. Asfaboard is cheaper, alternatively, there's the option to put up wind plastic, but it doesn't feel safe to leave it without paneling if it could get torn by the wind and so on.

I understand that. No idea about the properties of asfaboard, thought they stopped with that in the 70s.

Winter construction with plasterboard that got paneling in the spring.
A winter construction project with gypsum walls, later paneled in spring, shown with snow-covered ground and surrounding forest.
