Hello!

I would like to install a wooden panel/trellis/similar nice construction on the wall in the picture to be able to hang up potted plants and other items.

The problem is that we are not allowed to drill into the facade.

The balcony, as you can see, has wooden plank flooring, so floor anchoring could be an idea. However, it feels like it could become unstable without any attachment to the wall.

Ideas?

  • Balcony with beige wall, wooden floor, a mounted table, and a cushioned bench. Trees and a building are visible in the background under a blue sky.
  • Balcony with wooden floor, beige wall, sofa with cushions, blanket, and potted plant, view of trees outside.

Hello

Perhaps 2 ceiling props between the floor and ceiling can be used to attach the trellis.

If the weight of the trellis and plants becomes too high, a stämp is the next step. A little less aesthetic than the ceiling prop, to be sure.

I think you have the right idea, but the wrong product.
Those won't hold in the long run.

However, there is a simpler and cheaper solution:
Place a 45x70 rule or similar, a few cm shorter than the space. Then drive two wedges from each side underneath so that the rule is pressed straight up against the ceiling.
Then you just fix the wedges with a screw through both.

To make the solution more stable and resistant to changes in tension due to moisture content in the wood, I would put a larger "plate" at each end that is attached to the rule and the wedges so that it cannot twist.

Everything depends on the weight of what is hung on and the trellis itself, but a sturdy attachment in the railing and a diagonal brace along the window wall can handle a lot.
