How likely is it that asbestos could be present in the concrete of the basement floor or in the paint it is painted with? The house is from the early '70s, and both the concrete floor and the paint are from when the house was built.
We are going to sand it and heard that it might be present in concrete or paint when the house is from the '70s.

Forget it with asbets in concrete and paint.

What about quartz then? It's released into the air when you sand concrete, right?

Regardless, it will be proper face masks/goggles/hearing protection/gloves + some tight clothes.

I don't think the builder uses that. They haven't used any masks when cutting tiles or when breaking up concrete floors and sanding after they've plastered walls.
But thinking after they've sanded. How long does it stay in the air? How should it be cleaned up?

Fine construction dust spreads everywhere, lingers in the air for many hours, and swirls up quite easily.

Best cleaned up by wet wiping.

Thanks. We're thinking of hiring a cleaning company to do all that cleaning 😊
