How common is it for plaster/filler to contain asbestos?

I'm in the process of renovating the kitchen and recently had a remediation company come over to remove the tile adhesive from the old backsplash as it turned out to contain asbestos...

Now I've started to worry about the possibility of asbestos in the plaster/filler on the concrete walls in the kitchen... I'm going to skim coat two walls and sand them afterward, so it will get dusty.

  • Close-up of textured wall plaster, possibly containing asbestos, in a kitchen renovation project.
  • Concrete kitchen wall with textured plaster possibly containing asbestos, related to renovation concerns about dust from sanding.
  • Rough plastered concrete wall texture, possibly containing asbestos, subject to renovation and sanding in a kitchen environment.

No, no worries!
If you've had a reputable company that removed asbestos for you, there's nothing left.
Asbestos is very rarely found in concrete. Nothing that contaminates from the tiles either.

Thanks for the response! It was a reputable company that removed the tile adhesive, but it was me who sent in the sample for analysis before they came here and removed it. However, I did not send in the plaster, but from what I've read, it seems to be very uncommon, if not almost non-existent, for it to be in the plaster/filler on the walls.
