I removed paint from an old door leading to the boiler room in a 1950s house.
This is what I found behind it. Additionally, there was a lot of dust between the paint and the panel that you see in the picture.
Was it asbestos?
I'm now really worried that I did something dumb by just removing the paint and letting the dust hidden behind spread in the room...

Well, that's an old Masonite board that may have been a little damp at some point. It's harmless.
