Hi, I've recently acquired an apartment that was built in '52 and probably hasn't been properly renovated before. Now that I'm starting to gently pull at all the moldings and seams that aren't completely secure, I'm a bit uncertain. I don't know much about construction, but I still think I could straighten the moldings better than the previous owners. The picture shows what's behind one of the door moldings. Can one guess if there's asbestos in the walls? Or what material is it? It doesn't look like the drywall I'm used to, but the apartment is much older than I am... IMG_8102.jpg

New to byggahus, so sorry if I'm in the wrong place.

Nah that's lightweight concrete or a plastered concrete wall.

No, that's aerated concrete or a plastered concrete wall.
Sounds reasonable, looks more like aerated concrete after a quick Google search. Just looking at the picture, it could be a plastered concrete wall, but having been headfirst into both types, this one is significantly softer :p
