Does anyone know what material this might be in a Hultsfreds house from 1958, this is the kitchen floor?

Looks like old linoleum flooring.

Haven't encountered asbestos sheets in the floor, if they're squares it could be an old linoleum floor (plastic) and became rock hard and could break into pieces.

Yep, it was vinyl flooring at the time and not linoleum flooring as I wrote. They came in a variety of colors and were square, rock-hard, fully glued. Cutting them was like cutting window glass, a score and a snap against an edge. It was plastic all the way through and no threads or net embedded, how is it yours

They were completely glued, haven't taken anything apart so don't know if there was anything inside.

Breaking them was like breaking a windowpane, a score and a snap against an edge. It was plastic all the way through and no threads or mesh embedded, how are yours?

The small piece in the picture is a divided tile.

In any case, a few years into the 60s, there were asbestos-containing PVC tiles that could also be glued with asbestos-containing black glue. Send in for analysis to know for sure.

And just pried off, then it becomes twisted at the break. Maybe it was a bit easy to snap off a piece, just breaks off during removal. Don't believe there's any asbestos in those tiles. What are you going to do, tear everything out, it looks like there's a tongued and grooved masonite floor underneath and then if you pry everything off, the masonite will split apart and masonite pieces will follow along, attached to the tiles.

I'm planning to remove the Masonite as there are a lot of adhesive residues on it. Then lay a new floor. There's raw plank flooring underneath.
