Anyone know if there is any material with roughly the same compressive strength as pine (perpendicular to the fibers) that can be injected under pressure into cavities between two wooden beams stacked on each other.

I seem to recall hearing about something like this at some point, but I don't remember when or where.
 
Epoxy maybe?

Plastic that hardens quickly and becomes extremely hard.
