Hi,
I am helping a relative anchor a small safe to the wall. Unfortunately, due to its design, it cannot be placed flush against the wall, leaving a gap of about 3-4cm. The wall consists of an OSB layer on the inside and a plasterboard on the outside. The safe is quite heavy on its own, so the anchoring does not need to be extremely strong but is just to secure it further.
Suggestions on how to best anchor this? I was considering using a longer wood or chipboard screw that goes through a block between the safe/wall and into the wall. Any other suggestions to ensure it is reasonably secure?
Thanks in advance!
