Always "hitting" the mortar. How to fasten a screw in mortar?
Hello!
I live in an apartment from the 1930s with some walls made of solid brick. Over the years, I have mounted shelves, etc. with nylon plugs 6-8 mm, and it has worked great as long as I hit the brick. But a little too often, I end up hitting the mortar, so the hole becomes porous, and the plug spins and does not secure.
When you've measured something out, you'd really like to use those positions for the holes.
I'm looking for tips on how to "fix" this and use the same hole where parts or the entire hole have ended up in the mortar? Can you reinforce it with grout or wood?
It's usually not heavy loads that are hung up, but if someone, for example, were to pull on the curtain, you'd want it to hold, of course.
Kind regards, novice!

If you use lightweight concrete plugs like this, they usually work since they are triangular…

Smaller drill or larger plug.
Or construction adhesive before inserting the plug, then it will hold.
But you must blow out the dust from the hole beforehand.

TEC7 is better.
But screw in the screw the next day.
