I am in the process of filling holes in the walls of my kitchen. So far, I have exclusively used Casco's husfix. However, some parts of the wall have large areas of plaster missing, and it will require up to 1.5cm of filler over several square meters to make it even. If I fill it all with husfix, it will cost quite a bit. It occurred to me that there must be other alternatives to husfix that would work just as well, but maybe not cost as much. The surface needs to have properties similar to husfix, i.e., it should adhere well to the substrate and be durable enough to drill into after it has cured.

After getting the substrate somewhat even, I will skim coat all the walls with sand filler, prime them, and then paint with the final finish.

Grateful for suggestions on alternatives.

There are a lot of less plastic wall fillers that are significantly cheaper. For example, Finja 360.

Gypsum mortar or Gypsum Naturgips...

Gipsbruk or Gypsum Naturgips…

The gypsum variants I have dealt with have not really matched the properties I am looking for. They have been both difficult to apply and then not strong enough for drilling. But the variants you recommend might be more cement-like?
