Hello.
I have trimmed an interior door (one of those with paper inside). Now the top edge is no longer as nice, and the shape makes it difficult to just fit a new strip on the top edge. The door is stable, so I thought maybe I could fill and level it with expanding foam... and then paint. Now, expanding foam isn't very fun to mess with, it sticks to everything and is impossible to clean. Is there any alternative material that's not as sticky and messy to handle?

Tape and cover all edges and then you just wait until it has set before you cut it off. Should be okay. Otherwise, you can insert a piece of trä and glue it with something like PL600.
will probably have to be that way...
you end up with quite a rough surface with a lot of air bubbles when you cut.
does anyone have tips on how to get the cut nice...or nicer?
thinking of the trick of wetting a finger with water and dish soap when smoothing a latex sealant...but on the foam sealant then..
and what do you use to wash foam sealant off...from fingers and tools.
