Hello! I have a cabin that I will now have heated year-round and rent out.
It is constructed with wood paneling on the outside-20mm air gap-bison wind protection foil-145mm glass wool then chipboard on the interior walls.
I plan to put drywall on all the chipboards.
Can I staple a vapor barrier directly onto the chipboard and then drywall directly onto that?
Or does a vapor barrier also require an "air gap"?

No, there is no barrier between the chipboard and the fiberglass insulation. Can I place the vapor barrier directly between the chipboard and the gypsum then?M mattoys said:
If you're going to start sealing now, you should ensure it's tight both in the walls, ceiling penetrations, and also fix the ventilation if it's inadequate. If you can't make it tight, it's better to leave it entirely.
But yes, you can place it directly behind the drywall.

CAN
Maybe it's just as well to skip the plastic then. I read that it wasn't as crucial under 200mm insulation. Maybe a risk of messing it up, it has looked nice with just chipboard at least.T Tjrex said:
