I recently became the owner of an older house. I don't know when it was built, but I can imagine it was built sometime in the late 1800s or early 1900s. At some point, the house was covered with boards on top of the original wooden facade, and approximately 2.5cm of insulation was added. The previous owner intended to reclad the house and removed the boards and the (2.5cm) insulation on one side of the house. But they didn't get any further. So now we have to pick up where they left off. I suspect the house is basically uninsulated. How would you proceed? Do we need to see what's inside the wall before we proceed and add insulation to the house?
