Hello,

I need to know how to add insulation to an interior wall made of brick.

I've understood that you can have a small air gap followed by mineral wool (wooden studs) and 2*3 plasterboards (or OSB + plaster).

But is an air gap really needed since it's an interior wall?

Does anyone know another good solution for adding insulation (soundproofing) to an interior wall made of just brick?

Thanks!

(a bit urgent, writing a school project... :) )

You should not need an air gap in the inner wall...and no plastic...this is because there will not be any temperature difference where moisture can precipitate into condensation
