Achieve EI30 with sheet metal, garage wall?
If I have a garage wall 3m from the house and need to build fire-rated, will this material suffice: (is it EI30 the insurance company requires? When I talked to my company, they only said it's built according to building codes...)
- Sheet metal vp20 exterior
- Wooden battens
- Windproofing membrane
- 145 standing wooden studs, glass wool 145
- Durable plastic
- 45 horizontal wooden studs, glass wool 45
- Plywood
- Gypsum board
- Sheet metal vp20 interior
Do I need to add anything?

The minimum is actually a 45mm stud without insulation with at least 12.5mm gypsum on each side.M mlkjhr said:
With your example, you can go down to 12mm plywood instead of gypsum, but this is not directly transferable to a wall that only has a board on one side. However, the OP's example is so far from the limit that it becomes irrelevant to calculate.

Ah, nice, I've been in contact with the fire protection association, which sent me to Isover, which sent me to Kami, which sent me to WSP, which sent me to Gyproc's handbook... No one wants to take responsibility ☺️ So it'll just be plyfa under the inner sheet so I have something to attach any shelves and such to. Thanks for the response.
