Achieve 20-degree slope on horizontal stud
First, cut the entire regeln at the intended angle. Then trim the ends at an angle as far as they need to be recessed. In this case, 47.5mm
That is, the recessed part is at 90 degrees all around.

I absolutely believe that, I am very meticulous with details when needed on the furniture I make. On some unclear plank or whatever you need, it's difficult to have opinions on details, especially when you’ve only explained half of your "vision." But follow your intuition then when it's ready, and we'll see how the intuition suggests you should fix the angle.mibe85 said:
You don't need any other tool than a regular circular saw here.
It works both for the mitering of the horizontal beam to 20 degrees AND for embedding it into the post if you want to do that. For the latter, you just need to make a cut across the post with the same angle as the beam.

Don't bother recessing the beam against the post, there's no benefit to that. It's sensible to bevel the beam for water drainage. It's quite easy to do with a circular saw, even easier with a table saw.mibe85 said:

In the end, it doesn't really matter if you unexpectedly want to recess the timber and bevel the studs and the cutout is done at 90 degrees. There will be a small gap, but it's not the end of the world.
But, you're not supposed to have the slope towards the post, right?
