Hi!
What do you say here at byggahus.se about this plastering? These are completely new gypsum walls.

Is it normal to have this much plaster on new gypsum walls?

  • Newly plastered drywall with visible joint compound on a construction site, questioning the amount of plaster on new gypsum walls.
  • New drywall with multiple patches of white filler applied, questioning if this amount of filler is normal for new installations.
  • New drywall ceiling with visible patches of spackle applied over joint seams and screw holes. Questioning normalcy of spackle amount on fresh drywall.
  • Freshly plastered drywall showing extensive spackling on new gypsum walls in a home renovation project.

A little more than usual maybe. But the important thing is whether it is even. Is it even?

Saying the same, if it is even and fine, then it doesn't matter.

It seems to be skimmed somewhat thinly, and then it's not wrong for it to be wide. It should be wide.

What might be a bit surprising are the sharp edges in several places, those should be sanded down before painting. But maybe it's not completely finished yet.

Take a lamp and shine it along the wall (raking light), then you'll see if it's even or not.

It seems you've found a real artist.
