50 mm brad nails for nailing interior ceiling on a porch?
Hello!
I'm finishing my porch and planning to put up a white-painted ceiling using regular tongue and groove boards. Since it's unbearable to hammer by hand in the ceiling, I'm considering using a nail gun. I'm wondering if it would work to use 50 mm brads (nail guns for brads are significantly cheaper than those for regular wire nails). My only concern with brads is that the boards might "creep out." However, I have the ceiling joists fairly close together - 600 mm. What do you think - is it okay to use brads, or should I go with wire nails?
Best regards / Magnus

I can give better answers in a few years, but I used it when I set the raw board. And it's holding up well so far. I shot at a 45-degree angle, hidden on the tongue.
My plan is that if it starts creeping out, I'll use a bigger gun and then visibly

Do you have a better answer now after a few years?T Tomas_P said:I can give a better answer in a few years, but I used it when I installed tongue and groove boards. And it's still holding well anyway. At that time, I nailed at a 45-degree angle, hidden on the tongue.
My plan is if it starts to come loose, to use a bigger nail gun and do it visibly
