221.5mm deep wall at garage door, what lining do I use?
Tried to find 220mm wide exterior panels to use as trim around my garage door, but I can only find ones that are 195mm at most. Do you have any tips on what I can use instead? MDF is probably not good to use outside? But I want a nice and smooth surface to paint on, so OSB is out.
So it's the total wall that is 221.5mm deep. Around the actual door opening, I'll use regular exterior paneling.

Solved the same problem for a customer with shelves in glued pine, available in many different sizes, but it costs a bit more than regular boards.
It also has the advantage that they don't warp as easily as a solid board.

Thanks for the tip. About 200 SEK each wasn't too bad. 600 SEK is manageable when you don't plan ahead.Isakare said:

21x220 cladding boards are available at a well-stocked building supply store.
Do you have Optimera or Beijer nearby?

I had the same problem with a double garage, can't remember the measurement but it was more than what I had available. Glued two boards together (195+xx) to get the right measurement, used PU glue. It took a while because I didn't have that many clamps available but I thought it turned out well. Didn't find a picture right now but with a bit of paint on, you could only barely see the joint in some places.
