16mm plasterboard, where can I get it? Or how should I solve electricity in the ceiling?
Hello!
I'm going to plaster a ceiling in the basement, currently about 22*95 wooden boards with sawdust on top and nothing else. A lot of footstep noise from the floor above, so I was thinking of putting double layers of plasterboard.
At the same time, I thought it would be convenient to get new electricity for lighting, and the easiest would be to install 16mm plasterboard in one layer, make sure there are tracks for 16mm flexible conduit that a qualified electrician can install, and then put a layer of regular plasterboard on it.
In other words:
Where can I buy 16mm plasterboard in the Gothenburg area?
or:
How can I achieve a good installation layer for electricity in the ceiling?

Tiger79: Thanks for the tip, I'm kind of into that, but the fewer steps and screws, the happier I am
. For example, does Hornbach have such thin masonite?
RetepG: I'm on the hunt for good sound insulation, sparse doesn't dampen well compared to gypsum. I'd rather not lower the ceiling more than necessary, so 16 mm sparse + 13 mm gypsum + 13 mm gypsum is too much.

There are fire-resistant plasterboards that are almost 16mm (15.4) from ex gyrproc http://www.gyproc.se/produkter/gyproc+gipsskivor/brandgipsskivor
Tiger: Thanks!
pbengtsson: thanks!
Mikalel_L: Ceiling boxes can be recessed into the wood if you want, so normal 45mm should work. I haven't planned for more than about 3 ceiling boxes, so it's not a large amount. Thanks for the answer anyway
